Turkey - A country known as an open air museum


This Eurasian country is a famous tourist spot. The land has a lot to offer in terms of natural beauty and history. It is separated by the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. Surrounded by three seas it treasures a beautiful natural equation. The third one is the Sea of Marmara, which is a very important water body in this area. It is the water link between the Mediterranean Sea and the Black sea and it divides the city of Istanbul in two parts, the Asian side and the European side.
This country has the most unique historical and archaeological places. Rich in history and its diverse geological front, Turkish Holidays can be the most amazing vacations of a life time. The gorgeous mountains have a lot to offer and thus it attracts many sport lovers that want to experience the thrill of these sports, like skiing, and trekking. 


To the southwest of country you can visit the Pamukkale. This natural carbonate mineral decked city has a lot of hot springs that ooze high quantities of this mineral leaving the place look serene white in colour. The water that emerges from these hot springs is saturated with calcium carbonate and this deposits on the surface of the land around the springs. Though this sediment is initially a very jelly like substance but it eventually dries up into hard white layers and ends up as a travertine, from which this place gets its color.  

Another famous destination is the Topkapi Palace situated in Istanbul. This gigantic palace was the original palace of the Ottoman Sultans, which is know being used for important state occasions and royal festivals. It is a Unesco World Heritage site and speaks the history of the best Ottoman days.
